About The Violet Mist Healing

From the west coast of Canada, I'm Katie Cairns, Evidential Medium, Reiki Master/Teacher and owner at the Violet Mist Healing. The Violet Mist first started in 2012 when I first became a Reiki Master ("Violet" is a beloved family member in spirit) and since that time, I have provided hundreds of healing Reiki treatments, in person and by distance (you could say that Reiki works just like the data on your phone - it travels).  I've also studied crystals and auras and have had lovely experiences of seeing peoples' auras, (the colours of indigo blue, "peacock" and pure gold are my favourites) but no, I don't usually see peoples' auras at will - they sometimes just appear.

About the mediumship - I believe this was set in motion when I was about 8 years old, and had woken up in the middle of the night to see a full body apparition, a man, sitting on my mother's cedar chest.  This is when I learned first hand that there was most certainly a spirit world and though I didn't discuss it, I never had any question about it.  

After my  mother - an amazing lady and friend - passed in 2020, I began to watch videos of mediumship teachings, and 3 years later, began studying with one of the most known, and certainly the most authentic medium in the world (a no-nonsense medium based in the UK).  Since December 2023 I have invested 1500 hours in my mediumship development because it is so important to be able to do the best job I can to reconnect you with your loved ones. 

Besides being an evidential medium, I am a proud parent of 2 children in university, full time worker, mom to a black lab, family geneologist and social worker by training. 

On the eve of the passing of my dear Mom, 5 years ago today, I dedicate this site to her - as she continues to come through regularly in readings to remind me of our times together as well as to bring through that good advice that she always did.
